Daily Bread: 2026
We're seeking ten workers to author the newsletter in 2026
Thank you to all of our readers! We took a break after Labor Day this year to reset and ask ourselves what the Daily Bread should be.
What would be most useful to workers and the labor movement in this moment?
What is a unique perspective the Daily Bread could bring to this moment?
That’s why in 2026 we’re shifting direction. We want to tell the story of the year ahead from the perspectives of workers across the country - from different industries, from cities and rural areas, of different ages, races, genders and sexualities.
You do not need to be a union member, but we strongly encourage union members to apply. The labor movement is for every worker, not just those who currently belong to a union.
In 2026, we will relaunch with a newsletter Monday through Friday, giving you a run down of the news of the day with links and short commentary. Each of the ten worker-writers will share their unique perspective 2-3 times a month.
Spread the word to your friends, neighbors, fellow workers!
We look forward to you hearing more from us in the New Year.
