A Hollywood union charges that Llama Productions violated its union contract when the gaming studio used artificial intelligence to produce Darth Vader’s voice in the game Fortnite – replacing the work of union members. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has filed an unfair labor practice charge over the matter. Artificial intelligence was a key issue in the contract negotiations that led SAG-AFTRA to strike in 2023.
