The NLRB has lacked a quorum ever since President Donald Trump fired board member Gwynne Wilcox (and a court declined to reinstate Wilcox while the NLRB board member’s lawsuit challenging her firing proceeds). Now, employers are challenging the power of NLRB regional directors to certify union victories, “planting the seeds for future challenges to the agency’s ability to function the next time it’s short board members,” Bloomberg reports.
As reported yesterday, Safeway workers hit the picket lines, in a small-scale version of the Stand Up Strike, with some stores and centers going out and others staying on the job.
